Blitz is registered with The Campaign Registry (TCR) for SMS (text) communications; however it is the policy of Blitz Exterminators not to use SMS for any marketing purposes. 1. Introduction

We are responsible for maintaining and protecting the Personal Information under our control. The owner, Tyler Clark, and Operations Manager are responsible for company compliance with our privacy policy.

We collect, use and disclose Personal Information to provide you with the product or service you have requested. This includes contact/billing name, service/billing addresses, contact phone numbers, and payment information. The purposes for which we collect Personal Information will be identified before or at the time we collect the information. In certain circumstances, the purposes for which information is collected may be clear, and consent may be implied, such as where your name, address and payment information is provided as part of the order process.

Knowledge and consent are required for the collection, use or disclosure of Personal Information except where required or permitted by law. All Blitz agreements include a consent for SMS, email, and voice calls. Providing us with your Personal Information is always your choice. However, your decision not to provide certain information may limit our ability to provide you with our products or services. We will not require you to consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of information as a condition to the supply of a product or service, except as required to be able to supply the product or service. Information (Phone Numbers) obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Limiting Collection

The Personal Information collected will be limited to Responsible Party Name, Phone Number, Service Address, Billing IInformation, Alternate Contact Information, and Email Address(es). With your consent, we may collect Personal Information from you in person, over the telephone or by corresponding with you via SMS, email, USPS mail, facsimile, or the Internet. 

5. Limiting Use, Disclosure and Retention

Personal Information may only be used or disclosed for communication from Blitz for scheduling, billing, service notifications, or answering direct inquiries from you, unless you have otherwise consented, or when it is required or permitted by law. Personal Information will only be retained for the period of time required to fulfill the purpose for which we collected it or as may be required by law.  

6. Accuracy

Personal Information will be maintained in as accurate, complete and up-to-date form as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it is to be used. While Blitz may request updates via voice call, email, or SMS it is the customer’s responsibility to insure accuracy and inform Blitz of any changes. These changes can be updated on your account via the web-portal or by direct communication with Blitz office via voice call, SMS, or email.

 7. Safeguarding Customer Information

We take all reasonable precautions to protect your Personal Information from any loss or unauthorized use, access or disclosure.  Blitz’s customer database can only be accessed by Blitz employee’s with authorized access. Inspectors and Structural Pest Control technicians only have access to customer information to accounts for which they are providing service. This information is not stored locally and can only be accessed by authenticated users using the latest multi-factor authentication.

8. SMS Consent Communication:

All Blitz agreements include a consent for SMS, email, and voice calls. Customers may opt out or change their communications preferences by accessing their account online or communications with Blitz by call, text (SMS), email, or facsimile.

 9. Type of SMS Communications

Blitz has two separate systems for customer communications. Our customer database system allows voice, SMS, and email notifications (for scheduling, service, and billing notifications). It has web portal access. This system is TCR compliant. The second system is our phone system which is used primarily for direct voice calls for scheduling, billing, and customer inquires; however, if Blitz cannot contact you via our customer database system or by direct call we may send an SMS request to you as long as your account shows consent for SMS communications.

  • Scheduling, Billing, and Service Notifications (Customer Database Generated).
  • Response to inquiries initiated by customer.
  • Attempts to contact initiated by Blitz for scheduling or billing issues.

10. Potential Fees for SMS Messaging:

Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier’s pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally.

11. SMS  Message Frequency:

Message frequency may vary depending on the type of customer request/inquiry. Scheduling or rescheduling requests may require additional  messages .

5- SMS Opt-In Method:

Opt-in to receive SMS messages from Blitz Exterminators can be done in the following ways: (a) Verbally, during a conversation, (b) Signing an agreement with Blitz (c) Customer communications preference selection on account web portal.

6- SMS Opt-Out Method:

Opting out of receiving SMS messages can be done at any time by replying “STOP” to any SMS message received. Alternatively, direct contact can be made to request removal from the messaging list.

11.00 Customer Access

For example, we may not disclose information relating to you if other individuals are referenced or if there are legal, security or commercial proprietary restrictions.
